Cookie Policy Notice
Extended Cookie Policy notice
We use cookies to make our site easier to use and more intuitive. The data collected thanks to cookies are used to make the browsing experience more pleasant and more efficient in the future.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files sent from the site to the interested party’s terminal (usually to the browser), where they are stored before being re-transmitted to the site at the next visit by the same user.A cookie cannot retrieve any other data from the user’s hard disk or transmit computer viruses or acquire email addresses. Each cookie is unique to the user’s web browser. Some of the functions of cookies may be delegated to other technologies. In this document, the term ‘cookie’ refers to both cookies, strictly speaking, and to all similar technologies.
Types of cookies
Cookies can be first or third party, where “first party” means cookies that indicate the site as the domain, while “third party” means cookies related to external domains.
Third-party cookies are necessarily installed by an external party, always defined as “third party”, not managed by the site. These parties may also install first-party cookies, saving their cookies on the site domain.
Nature of cookies
Regarding the nature of cookies, there are various types:
Technical cookies
Technical cookies are those used for the sole purpose of “carrying out the transmission of a piece of communication to an electronic communications network, or to the extent strictly necessary to the provider of the service of an information company explicitly requested by the subscriber or user to provide this service” (see art. 122, paragraph 1, of the Code).
They are not used for other purposes and are normally installed directly by the data controller or the manager of the website. They can be divided into:
- Navigation or session cookies, which guarantee standard navigation and use of the website (allowing, for example, to make a purchase or authenticate yourself to access restricted areas); they are, in fact, necessary for the correct functioning of the site;
- Analytics cookies, assimilated to technical cookies when used directly by the site data controller to collect information, in aggregate form, on the number of users and how they visit the site, in order to improve the site’s performance;
- Functionality cookies, which allow the user to navigate according to a series of selected criteria (for example, the language) in order to improve the service provided to him. Installing these cookies does not require the prior consent of users (more information in the Cookie Management section below).
Profiling cookies
Profiling cookies are aimed at creating profiles relating to the user and are used to send advertising messages geared to the preferences expressed by the user when browsing the Internet.
The interested party’s consent is required for the use of profiling cookies. According to the provision (more information in the Cookie Management section below), the user can authorise or deny consent to installing cookies through the options provided in the “Cookie Management” section.
In the case of third-party cookies, the site does not have direct control of individual cookies and cannot control them (he can neither install them directly nor delete them). You can, however, manage these cookies through your browser settings (follow the instructions below), or the sites indicated in the “Cookie Management” section.
Duration of cookies
Cookies have a duration dictated by the expiry date (or by a specific action such as the closing of the browser) set at the time of installation.
Cookies can be:
- Session cookies: these are used to store temporary information, they allow you to connect the actions carried out during a specific session and are removed from the computer when the browser is closed;
- Persistent cookies: these are used to store information, for example the login name and password, so that the user does not have to type them again every time he visits a specific site. These remain stored on your computer even after you close your browser.
Cookies installed on this site
– this site uses technical cookies
– this site does not use profiling cookies
How to control the installation of Cookies?
In addition to what is indicated in this document, the User can manage the preferences relating to Cookies directly within his browser and prevent – for example – third parties from installing them. Through the browser preferences, it is also possible to delete Cookies installed in the past, including the Cookie in which the consent to the installation of Cookies by this site might be saved. It is important to note that disabling all Cookies may compromise the functioning of this site. The User can find information on managing Cookies in his browser at the following addresses: Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari and Microsoft Windows Explorer.
In the case of services provided by third parties, the User can also exercise his right to oppose tracking by inquiring through the third party’s privacy policy, via the opt-out link if explicitly provided or by contacting the party directly.
